During the early stages of the medical tourism process, patients typically consult with the physician's office directly, via phone/Skype, to answer all medical-related questions such as the cost of the treatments and payment methods accepted. You may want to factor in an additional 15% to your total treatment costs, as there are often unforeseen expenses that creep into any medical tourism visit. Surprise expenses include things like taxes, fees, medications, etc.
